Vonzell Bryant Obituary News: Vonzell Bryant killed In fatal Kansas City shooting, Police Investigation

According to a statement from a police spokeswoman, detectives are looking into the death of a man who was found in the yard of a home on Wednesday night with an unidentified “bodily trauma” as part of an investigation into the first murder of 2024 in Kansas City.

When police arrived to the 2600 block of Agnes Avenue in Kansas City’s Washington-Wheatley area at around 10 p.m. in response to a medical distress call, they found the victim being attended to by emergency medical personnel.

The Kansas City Police Department’s Officer Alayna Gonzalez stated that although preliminary concerns suggested a medical issue, additional testing indicated traumatic damage.

Vonzell Bryant, 70, has been recognized as the deceased person, Gonzalez stated.

Detectives looking into homicides are currently looking into Bryant’s death as a possible homicide.

Gonzalez said that no one is in custody at this time, and no person of interest has been identified. Detectives and staff at the crime scene are working hard to collect evidence and speak with possible witnesses.
