Tupac’s Stepfather Mutulu Shakur Obituary News, Cause Of Death Explained

2Pac’s stepfather Mutulu Shakur has reportedly passed away after spending most of his life in prison. He was popularly known as Mutulu Shakur but born Jeral Wayne Williams, on August 8, 1950  and passed away on July 6, 2023, at the age of 72.

2Pac stepfather was a well known American activist and a member of the Black Liberation Army, he was involved in a robbery in 1981 which got him a 60 years imprisonment sentence, in the 1981 robbery of Brinks armored, a guard and two police officers were murdered.

Mutula spent almost 41 years in prison before the United States Parole Commission granted him release on parole, which was then put in action in December 16, 2022.

While in prison, Tupac’ stepfather had a terminal illness which quicken his release and due to this illness the Commission noted that he was not a threat to commit another crime.

His cause of death remains unknown, but it is said that he passed away due to his terminal illness. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and family, may they have the strength to bear the lost and may his soul rest in peace.
