Traverse City Car Accident: 65-year-old Kingsley man killed in head-on crash on M-37.

A head-on collision on M-37 on Tuesday in the afternoon killed a 65-year-old man from Kingsley.

A Michigan State Police news release states that at around 12:35 p.m., troopers from the Traverse City post were called to a two-vehicle head-on collision on M-37 between Hamlin Road and M-113 in Blair Township.

According to the police report, the Kingsley man was driving a car that collided with a vehicle moving northbound on M-37 as he attempted to pass the car in front.

According to the announcement, the Kingsley man was pronounced dead at the site.

“The two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.”

Due to the collision, the route was also temporarily stopped between Hamlin route and M-113.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office, Kingsley Township Fire Department, Blair Township Fire Department, Blair Township EMS, and Paradise Township EMS all provided assistance to the troopers.
