Authorities have identified the Decatur murder-suicide suspect. A single gunshot wound to the head killed Torryle D. Bennett, 39, of Waukegan, according to Macon County Coroner Michael Day’s Friday news release.
After receiving a request to check on Bennett and 38-year-old Tiffany V. Ware, patrol officers found their dead in the 2400 block of Country Trail on Tuesday morning.
Decatur police Lt. Scott Rosenbery stated Thursday that Ware could have been shot and subsequently committed suicide.
Rosenbery claimed cops found them dead, expended gunshot casings, and a revolver in the residence. The investigator called the killings “tragic” and asked the public for information to aid authorities.
