A news release from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a man from North Carolina was electrocuted on Tin Bridge Road on Thursday morning, January 11, 2024.

According to reports, when a metal utility pole came into touch with electrical lines, the victim whom the press statement did not identify—who worked for an electrical utility firm was electrocuted.

According to the TCSO, the man was declared dead at the spot, and the tragedy looks to have been an accident.

At 9:40 in the morning, deputies, the Troup County Fire Department, and the Troup County AMR were summoned to the 1700 block of Tin Bridge Road. When the responding units came a little while later, they discovered the man dead and unconscious.
