Timothy Bruce Smith Death: 72-year-old identified as victim in fatal Saluda County house fire.
A man from Leesville has been named as the victim of a recent structure fire in Saluda County by the coroner’s office.
On Thursday, November 9th, early in the morning, the Saluda County Fire Service and other emergency personnel were summoned to the Circle area off Columbia Hwy / Hwy 378 due to an early-morning fire.
Timothy Bruce Smith, 72, was the victim, according to the authorities, and he was confined to his residence and place of business.
After being taken to the Prisma Health Richland trauma center right away, Mr. Smith tragically passed away in the early afternoon from his wounds.
In order to investigate this fire and fatality, the Coroner’s Office will collaborate with the Saluda County Fire Service, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigation is ongoing.
