Alvin Glasper and Tiera Pawnell-Glasper Obituary: Police investigating Cahokia Heights murder-suicide.

Police are looking into the deaths of the two persons who were discovered in a crashed car in Cahokia Heights on Tuesday afternoon as a possible murder-suicide.

According to reports, just after 1:30 p.m., Cahokia Heights Police Department Maj. Tony Tomlinson stated that the department received a call regarding a single-car collision close to Frank Holten State Recreation Area, near Robert L. Price Road and Park Drive.

Officers discovered a man and woman inside a car in a wooded area off the road when they arrived at the site. It was just before 4:30 p.m. when the woman was declared deceased at the scene.

40-year-old Tiera Glasper of Belleville, Illinois, was identified as the woman by the St. Clair County coroner.

After being transported to a hospital in the St. Louis region, the man was ultimately declared deceased. He is now identified as Alvin Glasper.

According to Cahokia Heights Police Major Tony Tomlinson, the case is being treated as domestic violence.

Investigation is ongoing.
