She competed in Division 1 volleyball and lacrosse while attending CCSU, showcasing her athletic ability.
She enrolled in the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies, earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree there in 2008.
Dr. Herrick traveled to Belize on a mission trip while she was still in dentistry school and provided Belizeans there with essential dental care.
