Shelby Trettel Shooting; 22 Years Old Hotel Worker, Shelby Trettel Passes Away In A Tragic Murder-Suicide At Super 8 Hotel
Following a troubling shooting event at a nearby Super 8 hotel on Tuesday that claimed the lives of two people, including 22-year-old hotel employee Shelby Marie Trettel, the Cloquet town in Minnesota is experiencing shock and mourning.
An additional man from Deer River, Minnesota, who was 35 years old, passed away as a result of the incident.
The unfortunate incident occurred when a 32-year-old man from Ramsey, Minnesota opened fire at the motel, killing Shelby Trettel, according to reports from the Cloquet Police Department.
After receiving emergency medical assistance, Trettel unfortunately passed away from her gunshot wounds, which were located by responding officers inside the hotel.
Unsettlingly, authorities discovered the death of a 35-year-old Deer River man inside a car that was parked at the hotel. The man had several gunshot wounds.
In addition, the situation worsened when the Ramsey, New Hampshire, gunman, 32, was found dead on the hotel grounds. There was a revolver next to him, indicating that he had intentionally cut himself fatally.
The attacker’s identity was verified by hotel surveillance footage, which showed an approximately ten-minute shooting spree before police arrived.
The participants’ names were initially concealed, and it is still unknown what their motivation or relationship is to one another. Both of the male males are thought to have been hotel guests.
The public has been reassured by the police that there are no continuing threats, and the occurrence has been classed as a murder-suicide.
Around 7:00 p.m. on Monday, residents close to Big Lake Road and Highway 33 were promptly informed of the active shooter situation and advised to seek shelter.
