Shawn Hosner Obituary News: Co-owner Of Thinkspace Projects Gallery In Los Angeles Shawn Hosner Passed Away After Breast Cancer

I share the tragic news of the death of my beloved wife and co-owner of Thinkspace Projects, Shawn Mary Vezinaw Hosner, with heavy heart and deep grief.

Surrounded by her family and close friends, Shawn passed away on Wednesday, February 14, at 10:21 p.m., after a valiant 15-month fight against stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that had spread throughout her body. She passed away too young, at the age of 57.

In addition to being a wife, Shawn was hundreds of people’s closest friend, soul mate, best friend, partner, daughter, sister, aunt, and gallery mom.

We were two halves of the same seed—together for 24 years and friends for 31—and her passing has left an unfillable hole.

Apart from our intimate relationship, Shawn was a remarkable person who devoted her life to generosity and altruism.

She gave food to underprivileged families every Saturday while volunteering with Nourish LA during the difficult pandemic years.

She worked for Meals on Wheels on Mondays and Tuesdays, bringing food to elderly people who were confined to their homes and developing close relationships with many of them.

She regularly volunteered at the neighborhood animal shelter, demonstrating her care for our four-legged friends.

Shawn had just gotten tickets to see the Dead at the Sphere in Vegas, was about to pick up the ukulele, and had a ton of exciting plans, like going to David Blaine’s show there.

Even though she is no longer with us physically, her bucket list is still full of goals, and I am determined to check those wishes off in her honor.
