Sean Harrison Sr. and Patricia Matejcek Death: Suspect arrested after Bradenton double homicide

Sean Harrison Sr. and Patricia Matejcek Obituary: Suspect arrested after Bradenton double homicide; Thomas Matejcek arrest & charges.

After his mother and her boyfriend were killed, Bradenton resident Thomas Matejcek is currently under the custody of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday at 12:06 p.m., neighbors reported hearing cries, prompting a 911 call.

Two victims, Sean Harrison Sr., 55, and Patricia Matejcek, 62, were discovered dead on the home’s floor when deputies arrived. When the first deputy got there, he noticed a man fleeing. He was handcuffed by the sheriff’s department in a matter of minutes.

Matejcek has had encounters with the law previously. He was taken into custody by police in October 2020 following a comparable domestic disturbance. According to the arrest report, he allegedly said, “I hope you die,” while gripping the victim’s throat, pushing her down, and covering her face with a pillow.

Matejcek experienced something similar in May of this year. Matejcek shoved his way inside a house, punching and strangling one victim while pushing the other, according to the arrest report. Also, it is said that he seized the victims’ cell phones, preventing them from making emergency calls.

According to detectives, this wasn’t a random attack.

There are still charges. Investigation is ongoing.
