The community of Columbia is mourning the loss of retired real estate magnate Sam Bornhauser.  Born and raised in Columbia, Sam’s passing has left family and friends devastated, as the news reverberated through social media channels.

He made the shift into the real estate market in the year 1986, after having spent fifteen successful years working in the field of hospital software development and administration. He had been working in this industry for a total of fifteen years.

During the fifteen years that he continued to work in sales, he worked his way up through the ranks to occupy leadership positions. During this time, he also took on additional responsibilities.

In due time, he rose through the ranks to become the proprietor of a real estate company in Columbia that was of a moderate size and had been operating for a considerable amount of time.

On the other hand, he was unable to shake the idea that he ought to return to the activity concerning which he had the deepest sense of passion. Because he was born and raised in Columbia, as well as attended both Hickman High School and the University of Missouri, he was able to witness the city’s dramatic ascent from a sleepy college town to the busy metropolis it is today. He was able to witness this increase because he graduated from both institutions.

Additionally, he continued to be actively involved in the community by coaching young players in the sports of baseball, basketball, and football. This was in addition to his professional pursuits.

Furthermore, he was a founder member of the Hickman Touchdown Club and served as its president during the club’s early days, when it was still still in its infancy. Additionally, he was awarded the title of Jaycee of the Year and gained additional recognition for the additional efforts he made to other community organizations and social groups. In addition to this, he was honored with the title of Jaycee of the Year.
