Richard Knight Obituary News; WSRA Volunteer Passed Away At 81

Richard Knight has been identified as a well loved and respected WRA volunteer, who has now passed away peacefully at home on Friday night, July 14, 2023, at the age of 81 May his soul rest in peace.

Richard had been QB manager from outset and remained in that role for over 26 years. His death news remains a great shock and lost to his love ones and family. May they be strengthened to bear the lost.

Richard Knight was known to be a long-serving WSRA trustee and Promotions director for 16 years, who privately purchased the QB kitchen car W1909 from British Rail at Old Oak Common in 1980 before selling it to WSRA in the 1990’s.

His passing was announced on a Facebook post which stated that, “RIP Richard and Thank you for all you did for the WSR” His cause of death remains unknown but he’s said to have died a natural death at the age of 81

Richard Knight was indeed a hardworking man who will greatly be missed by his loved ones and family. May they be strengthened to bear the lost. Please remember them in your prayers and feel free to send in your condolences. May his soul rest in peace.
