Pavanbar Paul Mannan Surrey shooting: Victim identified in ‘targeted’ shooting near the intersection of 96A Avenue and 130th Street.
Investigators looking into a homicide have named the man who was killed on Sunday in Surrey, British Columbia.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) of the RCMP discovered Pavanbar Paul Mannan, 29, “unresponsive” inside a car close to the intersection of 96A Avenue and 130th Street. He was unable to be saved by any means, and the authorities declared him dead then and then.
Later that day, close to 82A Avenue and 152A Street in the Johnston Heights neighborhood, Surrey RCMP discovered a burned-out gray Subaru Forester. Police are investigating to see whether it has anything to do with the homicide.
According to IHIT’s Sgt. Timothy Pierotti, Mannan is known to police, and police released his name in the hopes a member of the public can shed light on who would want to do something like this to him.
“This did appear to be a targeted shooting,” Sgt. Pierotti said.
Tuesday is scheduled to be spent in the area by homicide investigators talking to neighbors and looking for footage.
