Norma Jean Clyde Obituary News: Norma Jean Clyde Killed In Gunfire In Williamsburg Shooting

According to a city news release, the tragic event happened on Wednesday at around 7 p.m. and prompted the Williamsburg Police Department to launch an investigation after a welfare check at a home in the 100 block of Cutspring Arch.

When the police arrived on the scene, they found Norma Jean Clyde and Ury Eugene Clyde, both 87, dead from a single gunshot wound. At the scene, the couple was declared deceased.

According to preliminary investigations, the husband, Ury Eugene Clyde, is suspected of shooting his wife with a revolver before turning the weapon on himself. At the site, the firearm was found by the authorities.

City officials stated that there were no apparent signs of a struggle or forced entry into the residence. Additionally, a suicide note was discovered at the scene, shedding light on the tragic circumstances.

The Williamsburg Police Department is actively investigating the shooting, and the official causes of death will be determined by a medical examiner.
