Noni Battiste-Kosoko Death: 19-Year-Old Female Fulton County Inmate Dies in Detention Center

Noni Battiste-Kosoko Death: Officials say that on Tuesday night, a teenage girl inmate’s body was found inside her cell at the Atlanta City Detention Center. Since May 20th, 19-year-old Noni Battiste-Kosoko has been detained on a bench warrant for a misdemeanor.

She was accused of missing court dates in relation to two cases: one involving criminal trespass and property damage that started in Miami Dade County, Florida; and the other involving criminal trespass and property damage that started in Fulton County, Georgia. The allegations Battiste-Kosoko is facing in Florida prevented her from being released from detention despite receiving a $2,000 bond.

What Happened At Detention Center?

On Tuesday night, a 19-year-old prisoner from Fulton County was discovered dead in her cell.

Officials of the detention facility claimed that while conducting dinner rounds, they found Noni Battiste-Kosoko’s body.

According to the medical personnel and Atlanta Fire rescue crew who arrived to her aid, she didn’t exhibit any overt signs of injury.

Since May 20, Battiste-Kosoko has been detained at the Atlanta City Detention Center on the basis of a misdemeanor bench warrant.

Her initial bond was set at $2,000, but she was being held without bond because of further accusations stemming from Miami-Dade County, Florida.

The autopsy will be carried out by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine how and why she passed away.
