2016 saw the passing of Mr. Vasily Bochkareva, a year after he had retired. He presided the Penza Oblast between 1998 and 2015.
Previously, Natalia Bochkareva gained notoriety after she was duped out of £136,000 by a self-styled fortune teller. When Natalia handed over the money to the con artist, he agreed to remove a “curse” from her but took off with it.

On July 11, 2023, Natalia Bochkareva, the daughter of Vasily Bochkareva, was discovered dead in her apartment in Moscow’s Presnensky District.
Natalia stopped answering the door, and the concierge of her apartment phoned the police.
Natalia’s lifeless body was on the floor when the police entered and smashed the door open.
At the scene, she was pronounced deceased. Natalia Bochkareva was not “feeling well” the day before her tragic death, according to the concierge.
Initial investigation revealed no evidence of a violent death or any sort of deliberate play. A probe is being conducted to see whether the incident was accidental or whether there is a secret explanation.
