Mohammad Arsalan Kanjwal Obituary, Arsalan, Sopore Student Pursuing MBBS In Iran Passes Away

Srinagar, Jan. 06: Mohammad Arsalan Kanjwal, a fourth-year medical student at the Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), has died in a heartbreaking tragedy.

The people of Nowpora Sopore are shocked at the news.

Arsalan’s death has left family and relatives in mourning since he was following his dream of becoming a doctor.

Following his death, Arsalan’s bereaved family has insisted that his remains be returned to Kashmir for a dignified send-off.

The family has requested help from the government in returning Arsalan’s body to his homeland while they deal with the shock of his passing.

Following this, Shabir Ahmad Raina, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) for Sopore, has written to the Kashmir divisional administration requesting their help in returning the student’s mortal remains.

Raina told Greater Kashmir, “I brought up the issue with divisional administration and urged them to step in and coordinate with the relevant authorities to facilitate the repatriation of Arsalan’s body.”

He added that, emphasizing the gravity of the situation, the Office of the Divisional Commissioner for Kashmir has contacted the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi.

“A formal request to retrieve Arsalan’s body has been made to the resident commissioner of New Delhi. According to ADC Sopore, the office of the resident commissioner has pledged its unwavering cooperation in retrieving the student’s body from Iran.
