Michelle Murph Death; School Community Mourns First Grader Found Dead Near Interstate

The family of a youngster who was discovered dead on Monday morning was extended sympathies by Sandlappper Elementary School in a message that was sent to the local community.

The tragic and sad has sad loss has hit the loved ones and family so hard. May they be strengthened to bear the lost. May the soul rest in peace.

It has been reported by officials from Richland School District Two that Michelle Murph, who was six years old at the time, was enrolled in the first grade at Sandlapper Elementary School.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department reports that Murph was last seen on Saturday, December 16, and that her body was discovered on Monday, December 18, in the vicinity of exit 136 off Interstate 26 in Calhoun County.

The body of Murph was discovered approximately one hundred yards away from a Toyota Tundra that had been destroyed by fire and belonged to her father, Jason Murph, who was 42 years old.
