Manor police have taken into custody the suspect who was involved in a shooting that took place early Thursday morning in the parking lot of a Walmart store in Manor.
The Walmart that is located at 11923 E US 290 Highway eastbound was the location where cops responded at 3:52 a.m. for a person who had been shot in the parking lot, according to the police. When officers arrived, they discovered Luis Frias-Hernandez, 19, from Elgin, suffering from what seemed to be gunshot wounds.
The officers responded in less than two minutes. Even though cops attempted to save Frias-Hernandez’s life, he passed away at the site at 4:13 a.m., before emergency medical services professionals arrived.After working throughout the day and night, detectives from the Manor Police Department identified the culprit as Juan Acuna-Gaona, who is 25 years old. This information was shared on Facebook by the Manor Police Department. The charge against him is murder in the first degree.
After being taken into custody without any complications, Acuna-Gaona was taken to the Travis County Central Booking facility.
