On Sunday, deputies from Kaufman County confirmed that they discovered the body of Logan Jacinto, who was 40 years old. In the county on Tuesday evening, he was involved in an automobile accident.
“It was the call we didn’t want to get, you know, to hear that your brother is dead,” said Sydonia Jacinto, Logan Jacinto’s sister. “It was the very last thing we really wanted to hear.”
The family of Logan Jacinto has been organizing volunteer search teams for the past five days in an effort to find any trace of him in the forested regions and fields that are located close to the section of Highway 175 in Kaufman County where he crashed his automobile on Tuesday night.
He sent a text message to his wife in which he informed her that it was pouring but that he would make it home safely. However, according to his relatives, witnesses told the police that he completely lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a railing.
It was just before 7 o’clock on January 3 that his wife made the report that he was missing. A few hours later, deputies from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office came back to the location where the accident had occurred. They claim that there was no one discovered in the wooded area.
Sydonia Jacinto stated, “We weren’t going to give up on him,” and she was right. “We had stated that we were going to be there throughout the entire day and night. In fact, it is precisely what we did.
On the other hand, this was not the result that they had hoped for. Logan Jacinto’s body was discovered in a creek that was less than half a mile away from the location where the crash occurred. The body of his brother was discovered by his brothers.
The statement was made by Sydonia Jacinto. “My brother, the one who jumped in, he’s not processing it,” she claimed. It hasn’t reached him entirely yet, but he’s already saying things like, ‘I leaped in there, sister, and I pulled him out of the water.’…” I embraced him with a kiss and express my affection for him.
It was confirmed by the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office that he had been discovered deceased. As stated by the family, an autopsy will be performed in order to determine the specific cause of death. There were a number of law enforcement agencies who conducted their own searches of the area during the past few days, in addition to the searches that were conducted by volunteers; but, they were unable to locate him.
It was not enough, Sydonia Jacinto stated, despite the fact that she was grateful for the assistance that the police had provided. We were going to proceed with our journey till we made contact with him. Like I stated, it was not the way we had hoped to find him, but we are finally able to put that matter to rest.
It is now time for the family to begin the grieving process and to remember their brother, father, husband, and son, all of whom enjoyed dancing and providing them with laughter.
“He was a funny man,” Sydonia Jacinto had to say about him. “Me and my brother were reminiscing about the things that he would say out of the blue… we are just going to cherish the memories,” she said. Even though he is no longer with us, we will never forget him.
