Lodalis Lee Whitman Obituary, Lodalis Lee Whitman Passed Away At 76

On December 5, 2023, Lodalis Lee Whitman, 76, went away quietly in his Sacaton home. He was born in Sacaton, California, on September 6, 1947, to Earl Jr. and Barbara Whitman.

As a committed Army soldier, Lodalis participated in the Vietnam War. He spent the majority of his life in Oakland, California following his military service, then in 2021 he returned to his cherished home state of Arizona.

Lodalis had a warm and jovial personality and was known for his love of storytelling. He would captivate those around him with tales from his childhood and experiences during the war. Additionally, he had a passion for football and proudly supported both the Raiders and the 49ers. Following his discharge from the Army, Lodalis joined AIM (American Indian Movement) during its early years; he often shared stories about his involvement and the reasons behind his departure.

In addition to his siblings Danny Terry, Brenda Ortega, Vernon Whitman, and Brian Whitman, as well as five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren, Lodalis is survived by his daughter Lenora Cordier.

Along with his siblings Lewllyn Whitman, Earlinda Johnson, Carol Whitman, Edwin Whitman, Duane Whitman, Sandra Campbell, and Errol Whitman, he was predeceased by his parents, Earl Jr. and Barbara Whitman.

Lodalis Lee Whitman will always be cherished for his colorful personality, captivating tales, and abiding affection for his family. May he rest in peace knowing that he brought warmth and joy into the lives of those around him.
