Lisa Gardner Obituary News: 54-year-old Elm City Resident Lisa Gardner Passed Away
On the morning of February 20, 2024, the globe grew smaller as Lisa Hill Gardner, 54, of Elm City, departed from this life. She was the youngest child of Wilson residents Jesse and Rebecca Hill, having been born on August 9, 1969. All those who knew and loved her are left with a hole in their hearts by her loss, but her legacy of kindness, devotion, and service will endure forever.
Honoring a Life Well Spent
Lisa Hill Gardner will be honored at services on Sunday, February 25, at 4:00 p.m. at Wilson Memorial Service, located at 2811 Fieldstream Dr. in Wilson. Friends and relatives are welcomed to a gathering after the service to provide comfort and support during this difficult time. A private time of contemplation and memory will be held for the immediate family only, followed by the burial.
An Dedicated Trip
Lisa’s career path was characterized by her commitment and adaptability. Her years of employment at the medical division of Bridgestone Firestone served as a springboard for her next endeavor, launching Lady Paws Pet Care, her own pet sitting company. Through this project, Lisa developed close relationships with her clients—many of whom went on to become valued friends—in addition to offering animal care. After moving to Truist Bank, Lisa maintained her reputation for devotion, winning the respect and admiration of her fraud department colleagues.
A Love of Words Written Down
Lisa had skills that went beyond her work life; she was a very talented writer. Her ability and inventiveness were demonstrated by the publications of her works even during her college years. Lisa’s interest and understanding in writing and law were further enhanced when she obtained an Associates Degree in Writing and a Paralegal degree, driven by her love of learning and writing.
An Empathy for Animals
Lisa had a deep affection for animals and had no boundaries in her love for them. She has volunteered for many years with neighborhood rescue organizations, giving time and attention to animals in need. Lisa’s kindness touched the lives of innumerable furry friends by providing loving foster care for dogs, cats, ferrets, and any other animal in need of a home.
Accepting the DIY Spirit
Being a genuine jack of all crafts, Lisa loved doing do-it-yourself projects and taking pride in picking up new abilities. Her abilities went beyond side projects; she kindly donated her expertise to causes near and dear to her heart, such Together No Tether, where she helped to construct gates and exemplify giving back and community.
