Linda Partain Obituary – Death: Dedicated Educator and Beloved Community Member Linda LaVon Partain, Linda Partain Passes Away

Linda Partain Obituary: During this trying time, our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family and friends of Linda Partain. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, at Valley Grove Baptist Church in Stephenville, followed by interment at West End Cemetery.

Linda, born on June 13, 1948, in Pecos to Joe Lee and Von Delle McMahon, spent her formative years near Balmorhea, where her family owned a cattle feed lot business. She graduated from Balmorhea High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Sul Ross State University, later completing her master’s degree at Tarleton State.

Her dedication to education was evident throughout her career, predominantly in Hico ISD, where she served as an educator and later as a counselor in Hamilton County.

In 2011, Linda married Richard McCleskey in Stephenville. She cherished moments with her family, especially attending her grandchildren’s activities, and was an active member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, deeply involved in her Hearts and Hands Sunday School class.

In memory of Linda Partain, contributions may be directed to the Hico ISD Memorial Scholarship, P.O. Box 218, Hico, TX 76457, noting “Memory of Linda Partain.” Her legacy as an educator and her loving presence in the community will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
