Lawrencia Perez-Belair Death; 4 Year Old Residence of Topeka Killed in Saturday Shooting

Lawrencia Perez-Belair, 4, of Topeka has been confirmed dead by the authorities following his involvement in the Saturday shooting in Topeka. Mariann Belair, 24 of Topeka has been arrested and charged for the murder.

At 12:03 p.m., TPD responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of NE Grattan St. Saturday, October 14th. Officers responded to the location and discovered a toddler with a gunshot wound. The boy was rushed to the hospital but died as a result of his injuries.

Lawrencia Perez-Belair, 4, of Topeka, was identified as the victim in an update issued early Sunday morning by Topeka Police.

Mariann Belair, 24, of Topeka, was brought to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections as a result of the investigation:

Murder in the first degree, felony commission, aggravated endangering a kid, dangerous situation
Lawrencia and Mariann’s relationship has yet to be confirmed by Topeka Police.
