Lauren Kresse Obituary News: Boca Raton Police Officer Dies After Battle With Cancer At 44
The Boca Raton police department is mourning the veteran officer who passed away.
After battling cancer, 44-year-old Officer Lauren Kresse passed away on Thursday afternoon.
She passed away with her family by her side, according to a statement from the Boca Raton Police Department.
“Lauren was a 20-year veteran of the Boca Raton Police Department. She was a beloved instructor in the Boca Raton Police Training Unit, making sure all our officers had the training and equipment necessary to do their job safely. Lauren was also a long-serving member of the Boca Raton Police Honor Guard,” wrote the Department in a statement.
“Lauren’s bright and bold personality positively influenced everyone she interacted with. She was fiercely loyal to the people and things she loved, and her unwavering passion for law enforcement was evident throughout her career.”
Our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Officer Lauren Kresse and the Boca Raton Police Services Department for her untimely passing after a courageous battle with cancer. Lauren was a 20-year veteran of the department and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
She was just 44 years old and sadly leaves behind her family, both blood and blue, countless friends, and, of course, her two beautiful young children.

She was a terrific cop, mother, and friend, among so many other things, but she was an even better person.
