Kevin Turen Obituary-Death News; Hollywood Producer, Kevin Turen Passes Away Unexpectedly
Kevin Turen, a Hollywood producer who worked on TV series like The Idol and Euphoria, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 44.
The cause of the producer’s death has not yet been disclosed, but his father Edward Turen acknowledged his son’s passing in a statement on Sunday night.
In a statement to Deadline, Edward Turen said, “This world is going to be less without him because Kevin was so incredibly special.”
Turen’s close friend and PMC CEO, Jay Penske, also issued a statement.
Penske’s statement began, “Despite his many accomplishments in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends.”
He was incredibly proud of his kids. He said, “He and his wife, Evelina, were determined that their kids develop strong morals and make a difference in the wider world.”
Penske went on, “We all feel such a profound sense of loss, and our collective heart breaks for them.”
“This town lost one of its brightest rising stars today, and we will miss Kevin so much,” he said in closing.
Born in Manhattan, Turen attended Columbia University to study film before beginning his professional career.
In 2005, he made his producing debut on filmmaker Larry Clark’s indie feature Wassup Rockers.
He proceeded to produce other feature films, among them Operation Endgame, penned by Sam Levinson, the man behind Euphoria.
His other credits as a feature producer include two additional Levinson films, Malcolm & Marie and Assassination Nation, along with Richard Gere in Arbitrage and Robert Redford in All Is Lost.
His most recent productions include HBO’s Euphoria and The Idol, Mia Goth’s X and Pearl, and the Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal picture The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
