Kenneth Cunningham II Obituary News: Kenneth Cunningham II killed In fatal Marietta shooting

An investigation into a shooting event that occurred at a complex located at a busy crossroads is presently underway by Marietta police officials.

The event occurred on Wednesday at around 10:30 a.m. on the grounds of the Harlow Apartments, which are situated at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and Windy Hill Road.

According to Marietta police, 40-year-old Kenneth Cunningham II was the victim who passed away from his wounds from the shooting.

Law enforcement officers are reportedly intensively searching the apartment building and other businesses in search of a suspect, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Witnesses at the scene reported that Cunningham, a resident of the complex, tragically died not long after going to the main office to pick up a parcel. Michele Newell, the Cobb County Bureau Chief for Channel 2, reported from the complex where the fatal incident occurred.

The offender, who the police have characterized as a “slender” person about six feet tall, is still at large.

Officers are actively gathering preliminary evidence and working towards the identification of the unidentified suspect, using both K-9 units and cutting edge technology.

Authorities stress that there is no evidence at this time that the public is in immediate danger and that this violent crime does not seem to be an isolated incident.
