On Tuesday, a single-vehicle accident in Cumming resulted in the terrible death of a mother of two children, leaving a family in the metropolitan Atlanta area in a state of shock.
On Tuesday, the body of Kelsey Duttenhofer, a woman from Forsyth County who was 28 years old, was discovered. This occurred after members of the sheriff’s department and firemen were dispatched to a location on Windermere Parkway in Cumming in response to a collision.
Duttenhofer was driving her 2011 Honda Accord when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve, which led to her colliding with a tree and a fence, as stated by the information obtained from the inquiry into the accident.
Deputies stated that speed was a contributing factor in the accident, and first responders stated that Duttenhofer was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Duttenhofer is leaving behind two young children, Myla and Maxlee, who are both heartbroken since they no longer have their mother. The family and friends of Duttenhofer characterized her as “a beloved daughter, mother, and dedicated member of our community” in an online fundraising that they organized. They also stated that her two kids are now dealing with a “unimaginable loss.”
