Kelly Lynn Mason Shooting; Victim, Kelly Lynn Mason Shot After He Fired At Officers Today On Allen Creek Road
The Grants Pass police department is presently conducting a manhunt for a suspect who is wanted in connection with the burglary that escalated into a homicide that occurred on November 21 at an apartment located on the Rogue River Highway.
The police have determined that Kelly Lynn Mason, who is 48 years old, is believed to be armed and extremely dangerous. In addition to having a bald head, brown eyes, and a large number of tattoos, Mason is characterized as a white male who stands roughly 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.
Mason’s last known vehicle was a white Honda Accord bearing the license plate number 378PCG out of Oregon. According to the police, you should avoid contacting the culprit and immediately get in touch with the law enforcement organization in your area.
Gunshots were reported inside an apartment located on the 1400 block of Rogue River Highway on November 21 at approximately 7:45 p.m., according to the Grants Pass Police Department, which responded to the scene. Upon the arrival of the law enforcement officials, one of the victims had been shot, and another had been brutally beaten.
Katherine Crago, who had been shot, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crime immediately. After being injured, the male victim was sent to a nearby hospital, where it is anticipated that he will recover from his wounds.
According to the police, the investigation conducted by the Major Crimes Unit over the course of the past three weeks found that the victims had been targeted for the heist.
There have already been three people taken into custody in connection with this investigation. During the month of November, Sasha Marie Moe was taken into custody, and on December 4, Rick Eric Braton Lester was taken into custody.
Michael Fay Woodruff was taken into custody on December 11. In addition to being charged with assault, robbery, burglary, and aggravated unauthorized use of a firearm, all three defendants have been placed into the Josephine County Jail. Assault charges have also been brought against them.
