Katie West Obituary: It is with great sadness that we share the news of Katie West’s sudden passing. A resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was tragically confirmed deceased on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Her sudden passing left a lasting impact on the hearts of many. Everyone who was fortunate enough to have come into contact with her during her lifetime will cherish her presence forever.
It is with the saddest heart that I share that our family lost a beautiful, funny, inclusive, intelligent, kind, thoughtful and loving part of ourselves yesterday. We were all better for having my niece Katie West in our lives. She had a huge heart. We will miss you so much, Katie.
Katie was the bravest person I met next to her amazing mother, Karen and her dad who could not have given more of his love and time to get her through this. She overcame death with love by gathering us all to her bedside to say goodbye and somehow she was our strength.
I loved seeing her many Facebook posts reflecting the “shenanigans” of her and her amazing friends living life to the fullest.
Katie West was a Rental Consultant and Coordinator at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Trust, Inc. She Studied at University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She was born and raised in Houston, Pennsylvania where she spent her early life before moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she lived until her time of death.
