Johnny Garza Accident; 27 Year Old Cutoff Man, Johnny Garza killed in head-on Lafourche Deadly Crash
On Friday, December 15, a head-on collision in Lafourche Parish resulted in the death of a guy from Cutoff who was 27 years old.
At approximately seven o’clock in the morning, officers responded to the collision that occurred on Louisiana Highway 1 approximately five miles north of Louisiana Highway 3090, as stated by the Louisiana State Police.
The preliminary findings of the inquiry suggested to the state police that Johnny Garza was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado in the direction of the north when he crossed the centerline and collided with a 2013 Ford Fusion that was moving in the opposite direction. Both vehicles caught fire together.
Garza was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the LSP. There were moderate injuries sustained by the driver of the second vehicle, and they were sent to a hospital. Research is being done to determine what caused the collision.
