Johnny D. Holland Obituary News; Victim Passes Away In A Fatal Thurston County Shooting
The Thurston County Coroner’s office reports that last week saw a terrible occurrence involving the death of Johnny D. Holland, a 50-year-old citizen of Utah, who was shot and killed in what is thought to have been an act of self-defense.
Around 7:50 p.m. on January 11, a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 17800 block of Old Highway 99 prompted the dispatch of police officers from Tenino and Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies.
According to The Olympian, when deputies arrived, they found Johnny D. Holland dead at the site. The Olympian has contacted the Sheriff’s Office in an attempt to obtain more information about the events leading up to the shooting.
Multiple gunshot wounds were inflicted by the Utah resident, according to coroner Gary Warnock.
Detectives interviewed the gunman and witnesses in-depth following the shooting, and they also used video surveillance evidence as support. According to the initial results, the shooting happened as a self-defense measure.
Crucially, the Sheriff’s Office states that Johnny D. Holland, the victim, had no known relationship to any of the parties involved or the witnesses.
Authorities are still looking into the specifics of the tragedy as the community struggles to come to terms with this terrible loss.
