John Roos Obituary News – Motorcycle Accident: Elderly Jerseyville man dies in Pike County motorcycle crash involving a deer.
The identity of an elderly Jerseyville, Illinois man who died on Sunday in a motorbike accident involving a deer has been made public by Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood.
The victim, according to Greenwood, was John M. Roos, 71, of Jerseyville, Illinois.
Greenwood reported that at 3:59 p.m. on Sunday, Roos was driving northbound on Illinois 100, two miles south of Pearl, Illinois, when he struck a deer that had jumped into the road.
According to the sheriff, Roos was declared dead at the spot.
Investigation is ongoing.
