Patrick, his brother stated that he has told the Delaware News Journal’s Kevin Tresolini that he has been found, sadly not alive, with the cause of death believed to be cardiac arrest.

The Raiders released a statement stating that “The Raiders family mourns the passing of Joe Campbell, who played in 13 games over two seasons with the Silver and Black,”
The talented player is recorded to have played in 65 regular season games over the span of five seasons after being selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 1977 NFL Draft. He joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1981.
