Jesse Regrut Motorcycle Accident: Motorcyclist fighting for life following crash with a Rowan-Salisbury School activity bus.

UPDATE (August 23): 26-year-old Jesse Regrut of Salisbury, North Carolina has unfortunately passed away due to injuries sustained in an accident involving a Rowan-Salisbury School activity bus in Rowan County on Thursday.

On Friday, the identity of the motorcyclist involved in a collision with a Rowan-Salisbury School activity bus was revealed.

In a recent update from the NC State Highway Patrol, it has been revealed that Jesse Nicolas Regrut, a 26-year-old individual, was involved in a collision on Thursday evening. Regrut was riding a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle and travelling in a westerly direction on Hwy 801 near Centenary Church Road. According to reports, Regrut veered left of the centre line, resulting in a head-on collision with a bus.

Regrut was transported via airlift to the Carolina Medical Centre in Charlotte. The nature of the injuries sustained by Regrut has been described as serious.

The collision happened when the Rowan-Salisbury School bus was heading eastward on its return journey from an away game in Mooresville. According to reports, the bus was carrying a total of seven passengers, including students, at the time of the accident.

Per school officials, the motorcyclist has been transported to a local hospital via airlift.

In a recent incident involving a bus carrying the North Rowan Middle School’s softball team, all occupants, including the team members, were promptly transferred to another bus. Following this, they were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported or suspected.
