Jerrmarius Deonta Sills Birmingham, AL Shooting: 21-year-old man identified as victim in fatal shooting in the 1500 Block of Avenue L.

Following a homicide that happened on May 27th, the Birmingham Police Department is looking into the matter.

The victim has been named by authorities as Jerrmarius Deonta Sills, 21, of Birmingham, Alabama.

According to the police, officers were called to the 1500 Block of Avenue L at around 5:15 p.m. on a complaint of a shooting. When police came, they discovered Sills suffering from a gunshot wound.

When Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service crews arrived on the scene, Sills was being treated for life-threatening injuries and was taken to UAB Hospital. Staff members at the UAB Hospital declared Sills dead on Friday, July 7.

According to police, preliminary evidence suggests that Sills was the target of several suspects. No one is detained.

Police in Birmingham are hunting for a group of people after they claim they shot a man on Saturday night. At 5:15 pm, Ensley police received a call reporting a shooting in the 1500 block of Avenue L.

When they got there, they noticed a man who had been shot multiple times lying on the sidewalk. He was taken by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel in critical condition to UAB Hospital.

The victim is thought to have been walking when he was approached by a group of persons who opened fire on him.

The street where it occurred was coated in dozens of evidence marks.
