Jayden Dae’Shun Munson and Jaylan Marray Jackson Death; Identified As Victim of Fatal Shooting

Two men were identified Friday as the victims of the Thursday night double homicide on Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street. The Mount Holly Police Department’s 911 Center got many complaints about gunshots around Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street at 8:11 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Mount Holly Police found the victims inside a passenger vehicle with fatal gunshot wounds. Following the cops, the Mount Holly Fire Department and Gaston County Emergency Management Services responded, however both victims died at the scene despite quick medical assistance.

The victims are Concord’s Jayden Dae’Shun Munson, 19, and Jaylan Marray Jackson, 19.

The Mount Holly Police Department is investigating this tragedy. The shooting is under investigation, and investigators are asking for any information that may help.

“We want to share our sincerest condolences with the victims’ families, and we stand ready to provide support during this difficult time,” said Chief Brian Reagan. “We are investigating every lead on what appears to be an isolated incident between familiar people.
