According to the preliminary investigation’s findings, Cotten was operating a 2006 Nissan Titan in Louisiana Highway 409’s northbound lanes when the collision occurred.

While negotiating a curve, the Nissan veered off the road to the right for reasons that are still being investigated. When Cotten attempted to regain control of the Nissan by veering to the left, he overcorrected.

Due to this, the truck veered off the road to the left, collided with a culvert, and overturned. Cotten suffered serious injuries as a result of not having on a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Jason was sent to a nearby hospital, but he did not make it through his stay.

Cotten, the test subject, was made to provide a typical toxicological sample for collection and analysis. This accident’s cause has not yet been identified.

No matter how short the trip, you should always make sure your seat belt is fastened. When used, seat belts significantly reduce the risk of suffering fatal or seriously life-threatening injuries during collisions.

To make the journey safer for everyone, make sure that everyone is wearing the proper restraints before you set off.

The family of Jason Cotten, 44, who was killed in a single-car collision on Louisiana Highway 409, has been extended condolences.
