Jason Avery Hall and Sarah McCory Car Accident: Identities revealed in fatal Independence Day crash on Stokes Ferry Road – Denton man, Wesley Elvitt Bennett charged.
The people killed in the terrible collision that occurred in Salisbury on Tuesday have been named, and the box truck driver who was at fault has been charged.
The crash that occurred at around 3 p.m. on Stokes Ferry Road claimed the lives of Jason Avery Hall, 52, and Sarah McCory, 46, according to information from the NC State Highway Patrol and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, they crashed with a box truck while riding a motorcycle. Wesley Elvitt Bennett, 30, of Denton, the driver of the box truck, is now accused of running a stop sign and misdemeanor death by automobile. Bennett reportedly ignored the stop sign at High Rock Road.
The road remained closed after the collision as state troopers looked into what happened. On the driver’s side of the box truck, there were visible damages.
