In Lewisburg, West Virginia, Jarred Schultz, a 39-year-old resident of Barboursville, has been reported missing. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday night following his attendance at the second round of the LIV Golf tournament held at The Greenbrier.
In a development reported by the Lewisburg police, the lifeless body of an individual, suspected to be Schultz, was discovered on Monday at around 12:36 p.m. The location of the grim discovery was a wooded area situated near an interstate, in close proximity to the spot where Schultz was last seen.
According to the police, there are currently no suspicions of foul play. In a recent update provided by Chief Chris Teubert of the police department on Monday, it was revealed that a male body, believed to be that of Mr. Shultz, was discovered in a wooded area near Interstate 64 and Route 219 in Lewisburg. According to reports, there are claims that Schultz was spotted at the Brier Patch Bar & Grill. Allegedly, Schultz’s friend, Bart, mentioned that he suddenly disappeared after turning around.
In an exclusive interview, Megan Copely, wife of Bart Schultz, provided additional information regarding his mysterious disappearance. In a Facebook post, she revealed that the individuals were lodged at the Super 8 in Lewisburg, as reported by Golf Digest.

In the location where they remained throughout the night, Jarred mysteriously vanished.

According to Bart, the last time he saw the individual in question was at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the Briar Patch parking lot. Bart noted that the person was engaged in a phone conversation at the time. However, when Bart turned around, the individual had mysteriously disappeared.
According to reports, the most recent form of contact with the individual in question was a text message sent to the user at approximately 12:39am on Sunday morning. From the moment he vanished, Bart was diligently searching for him.
According to the authorities, the Lewisburg police have obtained all available text messages and information to aid them in their ongoing search. On Friday, Bart embarked on a journey to Lewisburg, where he proceeded to pick up Jarred at his workplace in Charleston. In a recent development, it has been reported that Jarred has left his truck at his workplace.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that as of yesterday afternoon, the truck remains at the said location. According to Lewisburg police, the individual’s phone was pinged, revealing their approximate location within a 3-4 mile radius. In the ongoing search efforts, it has been determined that this particular area has been thoroughly examined.
However, it is crucial to note that within the surrounding radius, there exist perilous locations that pose a risk to search personnel and cannot be explored on foot with utmost safety. Jarred’s phone has remained inactive since around 9 am yesterday morning, with no signs of any recent activity on his bank account.
In their investigation into Schultz’s disappearance, Lewisburg Police joined forces with several agencies, including the WV Division of Natural Resources, WV State Police, WV Division of Corrections, Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lewisburg Fire Department.
