Israel-Hmas War; Missing Jake Marlowe After Palestinian Militant Attack Found Dead

The 26-year-old Jake Marlowe, who was missing following the Hamas attack on the Nova music festival on Saturday, has passed away, according to his distraught mother. The news was confirmed by Jake’s parents, Lisa and Michael, in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

‘We are heartbroken to have to convey you the crushing news that our son Jake has been confirmed deceased in Southern Israel. ‘Repatriation plans are being put in place, further information will follow,’ they said. After being heard from on Saturday morning, Jake had vanished. He was a member of the security crew at the Nova trance music event outside the Israeli village of Re’im, which is close to the Gaza Strip.

He texted his mother to let her know that rockets were flying overhead at the festival, and that was the last time anyone heard from him. She got a call from the young man, a Londoner who had immigrated to Israel two years prior, an hour prior to receiving this SMS.

He stated in a voicenote that he and a companion were attempting to bring people to safety in what is thought to be one of the last recordings of his voice. According to the audio message, he continued, “Me and Shlomi are right by Gaza, bro.” We are gathering the party members as we see it unfold in front of our very eyes.

We are yelling at people to leave the area while riding an ATV (quad cycle). His closest friend, Léa S., previously revealed to MailOnline that he had departed the UK because to his concerns regarding the escalation of anti-Semitism. Léa, a law student who first met Jake three and a half years ago, said that Jake was very concerned about the situation in the UK due to the surge in anti-Semitism just before he moved to Israel.

Because everything that was happening to him in the UK was so much for him, he was considering travelling to Israel. Since Jake was a “protective” person who put the safety of other people first, Léa and her partner Daniel, who were both close to him, expressed concern for his safety.

Given that we are aware of Jake’s willingness to risk his life for others, we were very concerned. She also disclosed that Shira, Jake’s partner, was not made aware of his disappearance until Saturday night.
