Nathan Lee Ilderton Car Accident: Death toll rises to two after weekend crash north of London, Ont.
Update: A second teen has now died after a two-vehicle crash northwest of London over the weekend.
Earlier: A passenger who died in a two-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle on Saturday night has been unofficially identified as Nathan Lee.
According to reports, a passenger lost his life while two drivers sustained serious injuries in a crash that took place north of London.
According to Middlesex OPP, a collision occurred at the intersection of Ilderton Road and Wonderland Road North in Middlesex Centre shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
According to neighbours, the other vehicle involved in the incident was described as a red car occupied by individuals who appeared to be young.
Tragically, a passenger in the car lost their life at the scene of the incident, while the two drivers involved were promptly transported to a trauma centre for urgent medical attention.
The police, who were still in the midst of their investigation, had not yet publicly disclosed the identity of the deceased passenger or furnished any additional information.
According to authorities, a collision late Saturday resulted in significant damage to a gas line, prompting a request for individuals to steer clear of the affected area.
In the aftermath of a collision, a portion of Ilderton Road, spanning from Willow Ridge Road to Richmond Street, as well as the segment of Wonderland Road North between 10 Mile Road and 12 Mile Road, experienced temporary closures overnight. However, as of Sunday morning, both road sections have since reopened.
