George Woods Death; Identified As Victim Killed in Sydney’s Southwest

George Woods, 18, was stabbed soon after 9 p.m. on October 1 on Woodward Crescent in Miller, in Sydney’s southwest. Before transporting the adolescent to Liverpool Hospital, emergency services performed CPR on him, but he died less than a week later.

Unfortunately, George’s mother died in December 2020. His loved ones were shocked by the news, with many posting tributes and images of the teenager online. “To my beautiful little cousin, I can’t believe you’re gone, I can’t believe life could be so cruel and take you so young,” she said.

‘I believe God will be there with open arms, and I know your mother will be there with you. I can’t put into words how much I adore you.

Tributes

We miss you very much. Jorge, rest in peace. ‘Nothing will ever be the same again.’ George’s girlfriend’s mother was likewise distressed. “How do you express the agonising anguish and loss of such a handsome and beautiful young man?” she asked in the letter.

‘The absolute love of my daughter’s life and soulmate. We are entirely and utterly devastated. ‘I am so grateful that you love and value (daughter) and are a part of our family.’I am really proud to call you my son. “I will always love you, Jorge.”

“Never again will our lives be the same.” Another stated George was always “the brightest light,” and that the 18-year-old would be “missed like crazy.” On the same night that George was stabbed, a 19-year-old guy was also taken to the hospital with stab wounds.

Police in New South Wales are looking into whether the two events are connected. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
