On Tuesday, the Dough Nguyener’s announced the tragic death of 15-year-old Gavin Le, via a social media post.

“It has been a tough week for my family and I. Our hearts are shattered. Many questions will never be answered. All I know is that we lost a son, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a friend, and a rising team member,” the post read.

The Dough Nguyener’s Bakery, Huey P’s Pizzeria Gretna, and Thanh Thanh Restaurant will be closed on Tuesday July 11, 2023 to honor and celebrate the life of Gavin Le.

Gavin loved working at the bakery. It always put a smile on his face when he saw all the happy customers walk through the bakery doors. He loved serving and talking to each one of you. He was also very eager to learn all aspects of the bakery. He was always in our kitchen shadowing our staff trying to learn their baking and cooking techniques. It brought him so much joy learning something new everyday.
