The news of former player Francie Harvey’s passing (in Bath, England, formerly known as Tassagh) has left Granemore GAA staff and players in deep sadness.

We will always be incredibly grateful and happy to remember Francie because of the good influence she had on our group and the community.

Francie was a player who showed exceptional talent, unwavering dedication, and some of the best sportsmanship in the world on the field. As such, he made a lasting impression on his colleagues’ hearts as well as the game itself.

His influence will last a lifetime. His steadfast devotion to his teammates and the village of Granemore was the only thing that could match his passion for Gaelic football.

Francie was not only a talented athlete but also a well-known figure in our town and a close friend.

He left a lasting impression on our town.

Everyone he came into contact with was left with lifelong memories of his warmth, humor, and kindness. His influence will endure beyond his death.
