Donald Chandler Obituary News: 62-year-old killed in Athens Borough house fire.

The deceased victim in Wednesday night’s house fire in Athens Borough has now been identified by authorities as 62-year-old Donald R. Chandler.

On Wednesday, January 10, the Athens Borough Police Department reported that Donald R. Chandler, 62, lost his life in a fire that destroyed the interior of a home on Tyler Street in Athens.

Around 9:30 p.m., according to the police, a call about a structure fire involving entrapment was received. The area was filled with thick smoke and flames when fire crews got on the scene, making it impossible for them to enter the building.
