Devaun Johnson Obituary; Resident Of Jackson Succumbs To Fatal Shooting In Jackson, Mississippi
Devaun Johnson, a Jackson native of 23 years, tragically lost his life on Friday night following a shooting incident.
According to a news release from the Jackson Police Department, Johnson was the victim who was attacked as he and a woman were sitting inside a black Lexus on Ellis Avenue near Highway 80.
The horrific incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. when Johnson and the woman who was with him were shot by an attacker. Johnson unfortunately passed away at the site from the deadly wounds he sustained during the attack.
The woman was hit by gunfire as well, and she was taken to the hospital right away. She is in critical condition right now.
