Today, July 13, 2023, it was reported that Danielle Ballard, a former first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection who over the past three seasons averaged 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.4 steals, had passed away.

Who was Danielle Ballard?
In Shelby County, Tennessee, on November 16, 1993, Danielle Yvette Ballard was born. She was Danny Nolen and Blanche Ballard’s child. The three siblings of Danielle are Danny, Darian, and Daniel.
Her area of study specialization is interdisciplinary studies. Danielle set a new school mark for the most thefts in a single season with 100, making her one of the most successful freshman in LSU history. She made 34 appearances and started 28 games.
In her 30 appearances for the season, she started 26 of them, including LSU’s final 23 games (December 30-March 30). For the season, she averaged 10.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
On November 8, Danielle defeated Stephen F. Austin with 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals. In a stellar all-around performance on November 10 versus Saint Joseph’s, she had 12 points, nine rebounds, and a career-high seven assists.
After guiding the Lady Tigers to their second consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 appearance, Danielle was chosen for the preseason All-SEC First Team for the 2014–15 season. She was first with 3.1 thefts during the SEC regular season in conference games, sixth with 14.3 points, eighth with 7.2 rebounds, and tenth with 2.9 assists.
How did Danielle Ballard die?
A witness claimed that Danielle was outside the Blue Ice nightclub in Memphis when security began after her with mace cans in an attempt to get her to leave the area where the club was situated.
When Danielle was pursuing the suspect, a car struck her. She had died at the scene of the collision, it was discovered.
