His contagious laugh and kind nature were a blessing to everyone he came into contact with. Growing up in Hannibal, Missouri, Collin developed a strong respect for perseverance and the value of enduring roots. He was a proud Hannibal High School alumnus who took the values of effort and tenacity into his adult life. Collin saw his work as a truck driver and farmer as a calling rather than merely a job, and he approached it with unrelenting passion.
An Intense Web of Emotions
Collin’s life was a colorful, passionate tapestry that depicted a man who lived life to the fullest and experienced great love. Being a passionate naturalist, he found joy and comfort in fishing and duck hunting on Mark Twain Lake and the Mississippi River. The only thing that could rival his passion for the Kansas City Chiefs was his love of a nice, cold Busch Light Beer with friends and family. His love of the outdoors is demonstrated by the fact that camo, his favorite hue, has become an integral part of his daily existence. Collin always had music with him, with country songs serving as the background music for many of the significant events in his life. Living according to the motto “Livin’ the Dream,” he exuded positivity and had a talent for finding the good in every circumstance. Collin exuded warmth and joy, and those who knew him would concur that his best qualities are witty, amiable, and filled with faith. Despite having only lived a short while with us, Collin leaves behind a legacy of fun and love. His mother, Kelley Taylor, his father, Jeffrey Clay, his stepfather, Jeffrey Taylor, his siblings, Rossanna Moore (Connor Arnold) and Celine Clay (Ryan Carter), and a particular extended family, the Walden Family, all survived him. Though Collin’s passing has left a gap in the lives of those who knew him, they will find solace and inspiration in the recollections of his generosity, humor, and zeal for life.

On Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00 AM, funeral services will be held at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Emmett Cemetery, located in rural Pike County, Missouri. Let’s cherish the love and memories we had with Collin as we come together to say goodbye, and take comfort in the knowledge that his soul will always be a part of our hearts. Despite having only lived a short while with us, Collin leaves behind a legacy of fun and love.
